Where are the tasks? How can I get more tasks?
Hello from Spare5. It's great that you're interested in doing more tasks.
Spare5 has a limited, and always-changing, number of tasks available in a variety of Skills. A few are targeted to a specific demographic group (like men or women). All tasks are targeted to the Fives most likely to do them well.
Please keep in mind that there won't always be tasks available to everybody. When you are eligible for active tasks, they will appear on your tasklist.
If you follow the instructions carefully and put in a good effort, you’ll be more likely to receive tasks.
If instructions aren't followed and a lot of tasks are flagged during our review process, fewer tasks will be available to you. You'll still be eligible for tasks in a skill, but specific tasks may be closed. If this happens a lot, your access to all tasks will be affected.
Our best advice is to take all the tutorials and qualifications we offer, opt-in for notifications, keep an eye out for new tasks on both mobile and web, and do your best whenever tasks are available. We'd love to keep giving you tasks.
Thanks for being a part of the Spare5 Community!
How does Spare5 work?
When do I get paid?
Payouts occur by 5pm Friday Pacific Time for tasks submitted during the seven-day period ending Thursday at 12:00am PT (Pacific Time).
Tasks done after that cutoff will be paid by the following Friday. For example, tasks done on Wednesday, February 8 were paid on Friday, February 10. Tasks done on Thursday, July 13 were paid on Friday, July 21.
Your potential payout amount will appear as “Pending” in the app and Webtasks site as we finalize regular quality reviews.
During the time between the cutoff and payout, tasks are be reviewed for quality. Though we don't expect to find any problems with your tasks, it's possible that tasks will not be accepted and payouts will not be issued.
How does Spare5's referral program work?
Spare5's Refer-a-Friend program makes it easy and rewarding to invite friends to join Spare5.
Have you had a great experience being part of the Spare5 Community? Would you like to tell your friends about Spare5, and earn up to $20 doing it?
Here's how it works: After you've been with Spare5 for a little while, you'll get the option to invite your friends. Each time your friend earns $10, you'll get a $2 bonus, and your friend will get an extra $1. This runs through your friend’s first 180 days or their first $100 in earnings (whichever comes first).
To invite your friends: look for a personal invite link both in the iOS app and in Webtasks. Your friends must sign up using that link to be Spare5-linked like the BFFs you are. If the link isn't there, you might need a bit more experience on Spare5. You will be eligible to refer friends when you have received $10 in task payouts.
On your phone: look for “Invite” on the main navigation bar:

On the web: Click on that bagel-looking thing (yep, it’s a bagel. Or maybe a donut. Something tasty.) in the upper-left corner of the page. Follow the prompts to learn more and start referring:

Grab your invite code and share that guy out via email, text, social media, or shouting it out on the bus*.
